Pre-Kindergarten
4 - 5 years
A high-quality pre-kindergarten program is essential for equipping children with the skills and competencies they need to become successful learners—both in school and in life—for years to come. Our pre-kindergarten experience lays the foundation for a successful educational journey.
Designed for children ages 4 to 5, our pre-kindergarten (pre-K) program provides rich early learning experiences that prepare them for the transition to kindergarten. Our focus is on building the knowledge and skills necessary for long-term academic and social success.
At the heart of our program is a safe, nurturing environment that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. Our educators follow Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS), which emphasize growth across multiple developmental domains, including cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
Children engage in a balanced mix of structured activities and free play, with an emphasis on hands-on learning and meaningful social interaction.

Our dedicated educators create a warm and stimulating setting where children thrive. Through intentional teaching and compassionate guidance, we support each child’s growth and prepare them for a confident and successful start to their educational journey. Our Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards, along with our curriculum, are detailed under the Curriculum tab.
This group of children will be entering kindergarten this coming August. Their educator provides a nurturing environment and developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to prepare them for success in a school setting.
Every spring, the children take a walking field trip to Leggett Street Elementary School, where they tour the building and have the opportunity to meet the principal and kindergarten teachers. This experience helps ease the transition and builds excitement for the year ahead.
Each year, our center also hosts a special Parent Program in early May. During this event, the children perform songs and movement activities in our Sanctuary. The celebration concludes with a graduation ceremony, where the children proudly march in wearing graduation caps to receive their diplomas from our program.
Give us a call to schedule a tour and meet our Director—we’d love to show you around!
